Annual financial statements
The filing every Finnish limited company must register with the Trade Register each year.
Financial statements comprise the balance sheet, the income statement and the notes; larger companies add a cash flow statement and a management report. Small accounting entities may file in abridged form.
A limited company or cooperative must register its financial statements with the Trade Register within eight months of the end of the financial period. Registered statements are public and anyone can order them.
Failure to file is one of the clearest signals a public register gives. It does not necessarily mean trouble, but a trading company that has not filed for years is worth a further question before you work with it.
